Welcome to An Open Sketchbook. This will be the "blog" component of a larger project of the same name. The idea of this project is to allow you to follow the development of a songwriting project from start (well, almost...) to finish. Here is the tentative working timeline:
April/May 2007 - Complete composition of all material, record solo guitar/vocal tracks for each song.
May 30, 2007 - TENTATIVELY scheduled CD release concert in Washington, DC. Check back for updates/more info.
Summer 2007 - Play a series of house/coffeshop shows throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Updates forthcoming.
Fall 2007 - Re-record the material from the solo CD with full-band instrumentation. In other words, let it all hang out.
Winter 2007 - Take over the world!!!!!
